Introduction
We care deeply about your privacy. This Policy explains what information Nyme Chat receives, how we use it, and what rights you have.

Data controller

1. What we DO NOT collect
No sign-up — we do not ask for your name, email, phone, or social accounts.
We do not request or store profile photos or avatars.
Voice conversations and chat content are not recorded on our servers.
2. Anonymous session identifiers
On first launch, a random device identifier (UUID) is generated and stored locally on your device.
It is used to manage temporary sessions, detect abuse, process complaints, and block violators.
The UUID does not reveal your identity and is never shared with other users.
3. Data collected during use
When searching for a partner, you may provide: country, age, gender (optional), preferred partner gender and age ranges.
Security metadata: connection and disconnect timestamps, IP (for rate‑limiting and protection, not identity), User‑Agent, WebRTC status, number of complaints.
The IP address is used only for protection against abuse and is not used for user geolocation.
4. Complaints and moderation
When a complaint is submitted, we store: the complainant’s ID, the reported user’s ID, the reason, and a timestamp.
We do not store the content of conversations or audio streams.
Complaints are analyzed via AI and human review. 5+ complaints within 24h → 24‑hour ban; critical violations → permanent ban.
AI moderation decisions are subject to human review.

5. Age limit and child protection
The service is for adults 18+ only. We do not collect dates of birth.
We actively block users indicating age under 18.

6. Security and encryption
Voice calls (WebRTC) use end‑to‑end encryption; we cannot access content.
Text messages are sent via secure WSS and kept temporarily for the session.
Technical logs are retained briefly (up to 7 days). Transport uses HTTPS/WSS (TLS 1.3).
We regularly audit our security and encryption policies.
International transfers
Data may be transferred internationally to servers in the United States, with standard contractual clauses (SCCs) where required.
7. Third‑party sharing and services
Data may be shared during corporate events (merger, sale), with service providers (email, databases, hosting), affiliates, and upon lawful requests by authorities.
Cloudflare Turnstile: IP for bot‑prevention checks.
Firebase (Google): analytics, crash/error logging, performance metrics.
8. Marketing tracking
Advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) may be used for targeting, where permitted.
Advertising identifiers are used only with your permission (App Tracking Transparency).
Behavioral data may be sent to Firebase and analytics platforms to improve the product and advertising.
You can disable ad identifiers in your device settings.
9. Your rights
Right to erasure: email support@nyme.chat — we will delete data within 30 days (subject to legal exceptions).
Right of access: request a copy of information we hold about you.
Right to challenge moderation outcomes: submit an appeal with justification.
Right to restrict processing: You can request the restriction of processing of your data by sending a request to support@nyme.chat.
Right to data portability: You can request the portability of your data by sending a request to support@nyme.chat.
Regional rights (GDPR/CCPA/LGPD, etc.) are honored based on your jurisdiction.
10. How we use data
To manage connections and sessions; prevent abuse; apply sanctions; improve matchmaking; debug technical issues.
Marketing identifiers and analytics are used for personalization and effectiveness measurements where lawful.
11. Exclusions
This Policy does not apply to data collected outside the Service or to information users voluntarily post in public areas.
12. Data protection
We apply reasonable safeguards against loss, unauthorized access, and disclosure. The internet and email are not fully secure; use them at your own risk.
13. Data deletion
Automatic: session metadata — up to 48h; complaint counters — after 24h; technical logs — after 7 days; TURN data — immediately after the session.
Manual: on request to support@nyme.chat. Does not cancel sanctions for serious violations.
14. Policy updates
We may update this Policy at any time. We will notify of material changes. Continued use means acceptance of the new version.
